Oh man, it’s been a while. Where does the time go? When did I hit…my late 40s? WTF?
Like so many of us, the past few years swept me up in a tide of unexpected changes, and life called for a lot more living (and a lot less writing!).
Through all the global weirdness, personal changes and a whole lot of growing pains, I find myself slowly building a new life in Gimli. Rooted more deeply in home, resilience and the stubborn kind of hope that refuses to be sidelined.
One of the biggest changes: my family has changed shape. Julia and I have separated, and while that has been a profound journey, Arthur and I are doing well. Watching him grow into an even more amazing person has been a joy throughout all of this.
These days I’m still writing, taking computer classes, driving a school bus, still showing up, just a little differently. I’ve also opened up a guest room for rent (for anyone wandering through Gimli!), and I’m slowly dusting off the corners of this website too. There are stories yet to tell.
Some of you may remember my deep involvement in ecovillage advocacy and alternative community work. While that chapter has fewer active projects on the ground, the spirit of that work is very much alive. These days, I’m channeling those dreams into storytelling, creative writing, and new fictional worlds. Seeds planted still grow… sometimes in unexpected gardens.
