I believe story can be a bridge between people, paradigms, and possible futures. Those futures are painted by our fiction.
I’m H. Jacob Buller, a Manitoba writer working at the intersection of speculative fiction, middle-grade adventure, and media literacy. My work explores how people make meaning in times of change through story, community, and attention to what’s often overlooked.
My work often blends fiction, audio, and teaching tools. I write serialized stories and create narrative-driven media projects that invite young readers to think critically about the stories they consume, and the ones they tell themselves.
I’m interested in stories that slow people down just enough to notice where care, responsibility, and imagination intersect. Especially for younger readers, I believe stories can be places to rehearse empathy, uncertainty, and growth, all without pretending the answers are simple.
